Spywares are malicious software's designed to gather or monitor information / Activities of an organization or person without due permission on a computer or mobile electronic device.
The main types which are - Trojans, system monitors, Fake Apps, Email malware, adware and cookies tracker. Spyware is mostly used for the purposes of tracking and storing Internet users' movements on the Web and serving up pop-up ads to users.
Spyware are usually installed without users' knowledge, or by using deceptive tactics it may try to deceive users by adding itself with wanted / useful software. Others types of spyware disable firewalls and anti-virus software, they reduce browser security settings, which further open the system to further opportunistic infections.
By definition spywares are designed not to be detected. and its operations are usally undetectable . That being said there are ways and signs to detect its presence. Stability issues, such as applications freezing, failure to boot, and system crashes, files being deleted automatically, beeping noise, etc.

1, Never open any email attachment / messages from UN-trusted source.
2, If you receive text messages files or Bluetooth from someone you don't know don't open it.
3, Avoid downloading pirated contents on the internet it could be movies , songs , software's etc.
4, Install only programs from reliable sources.
5, Only Visit Websites / links that you find trust worthy .
6, Install a trusted Anti-spyware / malware and make sure they are always updated an running on your devices.
