HTC is one of the very few companies that are currently making both Windows and Android phones. There were a lot of rumors floating around about the HTC Bolt smartphone. As per the leaks that were found all over the internet, this phone was going to be the most powerful smartphone ever made by HTC.

Now, the company has launched it is an association with Sprint for the US market. It comes with a monthly plan of USD 25 per month for 24 months which makes approx USD 600. HTC has not said a word about the global launch of the phone.

The Taiwanese company HTC has been active since 1997. It manufactures laptops, computer peripherals, mobile phones and tablets. The company started making a smartphone with Windows Mobile and Brew and later on added Android-based smartphones to the kitty in 2008.

The tech experts are not that happy

The phone, which is being promoted as “fastest smartphone ever” is available in Sprint stores and HTC’s website.

Though both Sprint and HTC are praising it a lot, the tech experts are raising their eyebrows over the use of Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 which causes overheating issues. Anyway, hopefully, HTC has found some solution for the problem.

HTC Bolt Features

Talking about the features of HTC Bolt, the phone comes with a 5.5-inch QHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) touchscreen display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

It has IP57 certification that means it is dust and water resistant (up to 1 meter and 30 minutes). As mentioned before, it features Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset with octa-core 2 GHz processor and Adreno 430 GPU.

The phone comes with 32 GB ROM expandable up to 256 GB along with 3 GB RAM.

HTC has never let its customers down in terms of options. The phone packs 16 megapixels OIS rear camera with Dual LED flash.

The rear camera can shoot high res videos at max 2160p@30fps while slow motion videos at 720p@120fps. The secondary 8 megapixel is perfect for selfies and video chat.
High speed LTE connectivity

The phone has only one SIM slot which can hold a Nano-SIM and can connect to 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE networks.

The phone has 3×20 MHz carrier aggregation because of Qualcomm Snapdragon X10 LTE modem. It also has other connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS.

It sports a standard 3.5mm audio jack and uses USB Type-C 1.0 reversible connector for wired connectivity.

The phone comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button along with other sensors like accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass.

It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. The phone packs a powerful non-removable Li-Ion 3200 mAh battery which can give up to 23 hours of talk time over 3G. It is available in Silver and Black color options.

Andre Lonne, President of HTC America issued a statement about the new phone. He said that HTC 10 which was launched in the beginning of 2016 was the most advanced phone by the company.

They have to raise the bar for Sprint’s most advanced network. Everything that HTC 10 had has not forwarded to HTC bolt with additional features and better performance.
